Quota Issue: Some views

Some food for thought:

1. Would a sane ruler implement reservations or any such policy, knowing that it is not the best way to ensure equal opportunity?

2. What credentials does the Govt have to prove that increasing reservations will benefit the right people? Has Primary Education (which is free and compulsory for all), reached everyone? Has the Govt taken sufficient steps in that direction to justify this action?

3. Why is it that it is only India where there have to be strict "laws" for everything? Are there strict laws for environment-friendly processes in industry? No. Yet, you see companies trying to incorporate the same in their processes today! Why cannot the Govt. associate a similar kind of "incentive" with educating backward classes, if it is so SINCERE in its efforts to improve their situation!

Does anyone have ANY answer to all these queries? Does Govt. have any answer? Does our honorable economist PM have any answer?

Exactly. The interview answers everything.

1.No "sane" ruler would do that.

2.No credentials. But they have proof that "Divide and Rule" gets votes.

3.Strict rules are only for things that give votes.
