The God of all Places

A long time since my last post. Much water has flown down the Ganges ever since. But, the nation (atleast AIIMS) still rages under quota fire. Director, AIIMS suspended. Courts reprimanding Govt. Parties threatening to differ. Strikes galore. All this happens as I watch the holy water of Ganges flow by into the vast expanse of Bangal ki Khaadi here in God's own state of Bihar.

Much has been said about Bihar. General perceptions of gundagardi are not too far removed from truth. But, this place is nice! I haven't ever seen such pure water in a river ever in my life (coming from the state of rivers - Punjab, that is some irony!). I haven't seen natural beauty so untouched and unexplored by the mankind (maybe Kashmir, but of that I am not sure). The white sand beach created by the Ganges, surpassed every beach in Mumbai and Goa that I have seen.

Life's never been so good. Spending the day in factory, embroiling oneself with huge machines producing the God-forsaken product, followed by a lawn tennis routine, a badminton set, a stint in Gym, a glass of Nimbu Paani, with some Snooker, and then dinner and slumber. All this punctuated by weekends, with soccer tournaments, visits to places of pristine beauty, some activities of social work and of course, general timepass! And of course, doing the work one gets the salary for - project reports, and all that value-added jazz to eliminate muda.

And yeah, the gupp sessions, a few of which led to CBJ's rechristening as the Mango-Boy and Butter-Man, singing the Nanha Munna Rahi song in an extremely special fashion. How can I forget the ice-cream cake with honey topping, for our special Renu, on his birthday. And all this, in this God's own state of Bihar. Oh yes, by the way, this place is making a lot of news these days, on account of fake currency and illegal arms bazaar. But that is just some background noise, begging to be ignored!

So, life continues! As Govt reels under the quota pains, we await the rains.

wah beta...betting bhi karne lag gaya? Waise Italy agar pehla goal marti hai to it will win. If france scores the first goal...then the chances are even. So I guess you ahve made a reasonable bet. ;)
